UAE sends 25 ambulances and medical aid to Angola

UAE Strengthens Healthcare Ties with Angola by Delivering 25 Ambulances and Medical Supplies

The UAE has delivered 25 ambulances, advanced medical equipment, and supplies to Angola as part of the country’s $220 million healthcare initiative aimed at supporting Africa’s health sector.

This initiative was initially announced by Sheikh Shakhboud bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Health Advisory Group for International Development and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during the COP28 climate conference in Dubai.

His Highness Sheikh Shakhboud bin Nahyan Al Nahyan stressed the growing bilateral relations between the UAE and Angola, which face major challenges in various sectors, especially in the health sector, which faces major challenges in Africa and requires international cooperation due to weak infrastructure and facilities.

“Improving the state of the health sector and improving healthcare standards is a key part of the UAE’s foreign aid programs and a significant priority area,” added His Highness Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan. Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Vice President of the UAE Aid Agency, drew attention to the UAE’s international commitment to the least developed countries, especially in Africa, given the enormous challenges that require strong international cooperation and coordinated efforts due to climate change and economic deficits,
