In a poignant tribute during his official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honored the legacy of Azerbaijan’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev. His Highness visited the tomb of Heydar Aliyev, the revered founder of modern Azerbaijan, where he solemnly laid a wreath, symbolizing the profound respect and solidarity between the UAE and Azerbaijan.
Additionally, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid homage to the sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom by visiting the Martyrs’ Lane. At the Eternal Flame Memorial, he laid a wreath to commemorate the martyrs who gave their lives for the cause of their country.
Accompanying the UAE President during this solemn visit were key dignitaries, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court.
The visit was met with a warm welcome by Eldar Azizov, Mayor of Baku, and several senior officials, underscoring the significance of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s presence and the enduring friendship between the UAE and Azerbaijan.
