UAE Honours Tanzanian President with ‘Mother of the Nation Order’ for Development Efforts

Tanzanian President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has been recognized for her leadership in promoting social harmony and sustainable development in the nation by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with the coveted “Order of the Mother of the Nation” honor.

When Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited Tanzania, he formally gave the prize. Senior leaders and officials from both Sudan and Tanzania attended the ceremony, which demonstrated the depth and significance of the two nations’ relationship.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed Sheikh Mohamed’s best wishes during the meeting and restated the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. In response, President Hassan conveyed her sincere gratitude for the honor and reaffirmed her resolve to deepen collaboration between the two nations.

Key issues of cooperation, especially in trade, investment, and sustainable development, were the focus of the discussions. The significance of forming solid business alliances that support their shared objectives was acknowledged by both parties.

The visit resulted in the signing of several important agreements, such as the creation of the UAE-Tanzania Business Council, investment in Tanzania’s mining industry, and collaboration in customs. A shared goal for long-term prosperity and collaboration is reflected in these efforts, which seek to promote cooperative economic progress.
