UAE President awards Medal of Independence to Barbados Ambassador.

Ambassador of Barbados receives the Medal of Independence

Abu Dhabi on February 1, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin  Zayed Al Nahyan bestowed the esteemed First-Class Medal of Independence upon Gabriel Abed, recognizing his exceptional service as the Ambassador of the Republic of Barbados to the UAE, marking the conclusion of his tenure. The medal was presented by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, in a meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters.

During the meeting, Minister Al Hashimy underscored the UAE’s dedication to bolstering relations with Barbados across various domains. She conveyed her best wishes for Ambassador Abed’s future endeavors and lauded his influential role in strengthening the distinctive ties between the UAE and the Republic of Barbados during his tenure.

In response, Ambassador Abed expressed sincere gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin  Zayed Al Nahyan for the esteemed honor, commending the positive trajectory of relations between the two countries. Additionally, he extended his appreciation to all UAE entities for their collaborative efforts, highlighting their crucial role in contributing to the success of his diplomatic mission.
