The UAE has revealed a new program designed to assist thousands of Emiratis in securing employment within the private education sector, aligning with the nation’s Emiratisation strategy.
A joint effort by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), the Ministry of Education (MoE), and the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis) will facilitate the hiring of 1,000 Emiratis annually starting in 2024, with a four-year target of employing 4,000 citizens.
Named the Teaching Specialists Programme, it focuses on providing training, bridging programs, and professional accreditation for UAE nationals seeking positions in education.
The initiative caters to job seekers registered on the Nafis platform, encompassing individuals with a bachelor’s degree in education for teaching roles and those with a high school degree for administrative and assistant positions.
Its core objective is to equip Emiratis with the necessary knowledge and skills for both teaching and administrative roles within the education sector. Additionally, the program aims to support private educational institutions in meeting their Emiratisation objectives by facilitating employment contracts or through the Studying Citizen Employment Contract.
