UAE issues yellow alert for strong winds, rough seas, and high humidity

Yellow Alert Issued for Rough Seas and Winds in UAE, Humidity to Increase

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow on Saturday, November 16, with rough seas and fresh winds of up to 40kmph in a northwesterly direction.

According to the Department of Meteorology, sea waves up to 7 feet high will be seen with turbulence in the Arabian Gulf till 9 pm today. A yellow alert means supervision should be exercised if participating in outdoor activities.

The sea is rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and slightly rough in the Oman Sea.

Light to moderate winds are expected over the country, with a fresh breeze at times.

Mead noted that most of the country’s residents can expect a fair day today, which will be partly cloudy at times, with clouds appearing in eastern areas.

While the weather department has predicted low temperatures in some parts of the country today, there is a possibility of fog in some interior areas along with humidity during the night and Sunday morning.

In some parts of Abu Dhabi, humidity can be as low as 20 percent.

Meanwhile, humidity in Dubai is expected to reach 85 percent.

In the mountains, the mercury can go up to 16°C to 34°C.

Temperatures in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will touch 30ºC, slightly cooler than yesterday’s 32ºC.
