UAE Introduces Family Group Visa for Hassle-Free Travel Experience
The UAE has introduced a new family group visa application process, simplifying travel arrangements for parents and their children. This initiative enables families to apply for visas as a group through authorized travel agencies. One notable benefit is the exemption of visa fees for children under 18 years of age when accompanied by their parents. This exclusive offer is accessible through approved travel agencies within and outside the UAE. The family group visa is designed for one-time applications, catering to families traveling together.
Under this program, travel agencies can now facilitate short-term tourist visas ranging from 30 to 60 days, extendable up to a maximum of 120 days if needed. Visa extensions can be applied for before the visa’s expiration date. To apply for the visa, travelers must provide essential documents, including a valid passport with at least six months of validity, a passport-sized photograph, and any other required information as specified on the GDFRA website.
Additionally, the UAE has introduced a streamlined process for entry visas for residents of GCC countries and their companions, allowing foreigners residing in a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country to obtain an entry visa to the UAE as a visitor for up to 30 days, with the option for a single extension. This service is accessible through digital channels, offering convenience and accessibility 24/7.
Previously, visitors had to go through a manual application process, involving paperwork and potential wait times. However, with the introduction of a user-friendly website, travelers can now apply for visas electronically, significantly expediting the process. This innovative approach enables individuals to secure their visas within minutes, even if they are outside the country.
