UAE and India Strengthen Ties with Focus on India-Middle East-Europe Corridor
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held high-level talks on Thursday to discuss the implementation of the strategic initiative, the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEEC). The initiative aims to enhance regional connectivity and prosperity.

Describing it as a transformative project to enhance economic connectivity and regional integration, Prime Minister Modi stressed the importance of IMEEC during the talks. He also conveyed his greetings to UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The discussions highlighted the regular high-level bilateral cooperation between the two countries, including the visit of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to India in September 2024, which Prime Minister Modi described as a sign of generational continuity in bilateral relations.

Key Bilateral Meetings
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan was in New Delhi to attend the 4th Strategic Dialogue and the 15th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting, a crucial platform to advance mutual cooperation.
The meeting is seen as a step towards further strengthening India-UAE ties while taking forward the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor initiative, a project that has the potential to revive global trade dynamics.
