A major humanitarian initiative announced by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to support millions of children suffering from hunger around the world during this Ramadan.
The campaign, titled ‘Edge of Life’, seeks to raise at least AED 1 million during the holy month to help rescue nearly 5 million children from hunger and malnutrition. The initiative focuses particularly on children under the age of five who are severely affected by malnutrition in communities impacted by war, conflict, and natural disasters.
Global statistics indicate that five children under the age of five die every minute due to hunger and malnutrition. Through this campaign, the UAE aims to contribute to sustainable solutions that address child hunger and improve nutrition for vulnerable communities worldwide.
Operating under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the campaign works to implement long-term programs to combat childhood hunger. It is being organized in collaboration with international organizations including UNICEF, Save the Children, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and Action Against Hunger.
How to Contribute
