In a compassionate effort to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, a UAE aid ship, part of the “Gallant Knight 3” operation, arrived in Al Arish City carrying 4,016 tonnes of crucial humanitarian supplies. This significant mission aims to provide essential support and relief to those affected by the challenging conditions in Gaza.

The arrival of the aid ship was marked by the presence of Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs, along with key dignitaries including Mariam Khalifa Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt; Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Deputy Secretary-General of the Local Affairs Sector at the Emirates Red Crescent; and Major General Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fadil Shousha, Governor of North Sinai.

Departing from the port of Fujairah, the ship carried a diverse range of aid, including 3,465 tonnes of food supplies, 420 tonnes of shelter materials, and 131 tonnes of medical aid. Notably, the medical aid was provided by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Emirates Red Crescent.

Sultan Al Shamsi emphasized the UAE’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during challenging times, highlighting the nation’s role as one of the first to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Rashid Al Mansouri reiterated that this substantial aid shipment is a testament to the UAE’s continuous efforts in supporting initiatives and developmental projects focused on assisting the Palestinian people affected by the dire situation in Gaza.

As part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3,” UAE aid to the Palestinian people has exceeded 7,523 tonnes before December 15, showcasing the nation’s dedication to ongoing relief efforts. The comprehensive support includes a robust air bridge comprising 111 flights and over 63 trucks, further demonstrating the UAE’s commitment to delivering essential aid and fostering hope in regions facing adversity.
