Sharjah Retirement Supplementary Grant Committee Approves 22 New Requests
On March 25, 2025, the Sharjah Pension Subsidies Committee approved 22 new supplementary grant requests at its third meeting of the year. The scheme ensures that retirees and their families can meet their basic needs during retirement by providing financial assistance.
Each request submitted was thoroughly examined to ensure that it met the requirements established by the committee. The committee’s continued commitment to assisting retirees in the emirate is demonstrated by the total annual cost of these new approvals of AED 786,249.08.
These 22 additional requests mean that 4,771 individuals are currently receiving additional payments. This marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the scheme and its positive impact on the financial security of retirees.
The approved amounts will be credited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts by the end of March 2025. This move demonstrates the Group’s commitment to providing immediate, reliable assistance to Sharjah retirees, reducing their financial burdens in the years following retirement.
