Sharjah Introduces Remote Vehicle Testing Service via Rafid App

A significant advancement in vehicle testing for the Emirate of Sharjah was revealed by Colonel Khalid Mohammed Al Kai, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police. Speaking on the “Direct Line” program, he disclosed that Sharjah residents will no longer need to physically visit testing facilities as of Wednesday, January 8, 2025, as they will be able to conduct vehicle tests remotely via a cutting-edge smart service.

Through the Rafid app, users can now access this innovative service, which is the first of its kind in the nation. Users can follow the app’s instructions to use the new remote car testing feature, which includes a comprehensive instructional video. This program is a part of the ongoing efforts to modernize and simplify Sharjah’s services for drivers.

Colonel Al Kai emphasized that owners of private vehicles registered in Sharjah are the only ones eligible for this remote vehicle testing service. To qualify for remote testing, cars must meet certain eligibility standards. Specifically, the car must be less than eight years old and have not been registered for more than eighteen months. Once the test is complete, the findings are sent within 24 hours, so the owner can easily continue the car renewal process.s.

Sharjah’s drivers are expected to save time and effort by using this innovative solution, which provides a more effective and convenient way to check in and register vehicles. It supports the emirate’s key goal of improving the quality of life of its citizens by integrating cutting-edge technology into regular services.
