Sharjah Plans 10-Day Extravaganza for UAE National Day 2023

In a grand gesture of celebration, Sharjah is gearing up for an extended 10-day festivity to mark UAE National Day 2023. The proposal, currently under review by the Sharjah Executive Council, promises an array of cultural and entertainment spectacles, along with a public holiday to honor the hardworking population of the Emirate.

Chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, who also serves as Chairman of the Executive Council, the meeting was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, and Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.

According to the state-run news agency WAM, the comprehensive proposal encompasses an array of events such as national marches, cultural showcases, traditional performances, aerial displays, and entertainment extravaganzas. Additionally, a host of activities, workshops, and competitions have been planned to further instill values of unity and belonging, contributing to the nation’s ongoing journey of progress and civilization.

UAE National Day, commemorated annually on December 2nd, holds profound significance as it marks the historic unification of the seven emirates in 1971. This joyous occasion is celebrated fervently throughout the country, reflecting the shared spirit of unity and progress that defines the United Arab Emirates.
