In a pioneering move, a seasoned investor and palm farmer in Saudi Arabia has ventured into the cosmetic industry by creating perfumes and shampoos derived from dates. Building on the potential of palm byproducts, the entrepreneur has transformed them into unique and innovative cosmetic items.
With a longstanding engagement in date palm cultivation since 1998, the entrepreneur introduced foreign mechanisms in 2015 to expedite production and ventured into date powder production by drying and extracting moisture from dates. The date powder serves as a substitute for white sugar. Over the years, the entrepreneur’s team has developed 60 transformative products, including date capsules and tablets.
The latest breakthrough is a fragrance line, featuring date-derived perfumes and shampoos. According to the entrepreneur, the inspiration for the date perfume arose from the unique properties of dates and their derivatives. The perfume incorporates natural elements extracted from dates, enriched with essential oils sourced from high-quality materials.
This innovative product line not only reflects the rich heritage and potential of dates but also marks a significant milestone in utilizing date byproducts in the beauty and cosmetics industry. The perfumes are competitively priced between 200 and 300 Saudi Riyals, offering consumers a distinctive blend of natural ingredients and essential oils.
