President Sheikh Mohamed Leads Funeral Prayers for Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed
President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alongside a distinguished assembly of leaders, solemnly presided over a poignant funeral ceremony, paying tribute to the esteemed Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed, the revered Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region. The ceremony, held at the hallowed Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed the First Mosque in Abu Dhabi, stood as a testament to Sheikh Tahnoon’s illustrious life and his invaluable contributions to the nation.
Joined by prominent figures such as Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, alongside numerous members of the esteemed Al Nahyan family, Sheikh Tahnoon’s siblings, his children, and a multitude of devout worshippers, the gathering reverently honored the memory of the departed soul.
Following the moving prayers, President Sheikh Mohamed, accompanied by members of the Al Nahyan family, solemnly accompanied Sheikh Tahnoon to his final resting place at the Al Bateen Cemetery, in accordance with the traditions of respect and honor deeply ingrained in the nation’s ethos, as reported by the esteemed state news agency, Wam.
In recognition of Sheikh Tahnoon’s enduring legacy and profound impact on the UAE’s progress, President Sheikh Mohamed directed that funeral prayers be held across all mosques in the country after asr prayers. This gesture provided a poignant moment for the nation to collectively reflect on his remarkable contributions and commemorate his life’s work.
In a heartfelt tribute, President Sheikh Mohamed expressed his deepest condolences, honoring Sheikh Tahnoon as a trusted confidant of the late Sheikh Zayed, whose unwavering dedication to serving the nation and advancing the vision of the Founding Father leaves an indelible mark on the UAE’s history.
Sheikh Tahnoon’s remarkable achievements, exemplified through his pivotal roles as deputy chairman of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, chairman of Adnoc, and deputy chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council, stand as a testament to his enduring commitment to the nation’s progress and prosperity.
