Hardeep Singh Puri Meets UAE Industry Minister Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber in New Delhi
Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri held an “extensive meeting” with his friend Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology in Delhi.
Puri said on Monday that they discussed ways to further strengthen our already extensive partnership spanning the entire hydrocarbon value chain.
In a post on X, Puri said, “In New Delhi today is my friend HE Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC Group. I had a very detailed and fruitful meeting with my dear friend Dr. Jaber. The partnership between India and the UAE has grown stronger and gained momentum especially in the last decade.

The UAE is now India’s second largest source of crude oil imports and third largest exporter of petroleum products. We are reliable partners and collaborators in other countries. In today’s meeting, we discussed ways to further strengthen our already extensive partnership spanning the entire hydrocarbon value chain.
Embassy of India in UAE in a post on X said, “On the occasion of the visit of HH Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi HH Shk Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Hon Min Hardeep Singh Puri, HE Dr. Sultan Jaber, UAE Min & MD-Grp CEO ADNOC Group. The ever-growing India-UAE energy partnership was discussed and key agreements were signed.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a productive meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi on Monday and engaged in “productive talks” covering a range of topics.
At the invitation of Prime Minister Modi, the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince is on an official visit to India from September 9 to 10. This will be the Crown Prince’s first official visit to India.
