Kuwait Mourns the Passing of Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah at 86

In a solemn announcement, the Amiri Diwan of Kuwait declared on Saturday the passing of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah, at the age of 86. The announcement, broadcast on Kuwaiti state television, conveyed the news with profound sadness and sorrow.

Prior to the official announcement, regular programming on Kuwait’s state TV was interrupted to broadcast Quranic verses, a customary signal indicating the passing of a member of the royal family.
