Kuwait Donates 190 Tons of Critical Aid to Sudan in Collaboration with Egypt
The Sudan will receive 190 tons of critical medical and food supplies, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo stated on Monday. The Egyptian authorities and the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) were consulted in order to load and transport the assistance supplies from the Egyptian Safaga Port to Port Sudan, according to a statement from the embassy.
Khaled Al-Zaid, the Public Relations and Media Department Director of KRCS, informed KUNA that the Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo worked closely with the Egyptian government to provide the critical relief supplies to Sudan. According to him, the Sudanese Red Crescent (SRC) and the Health Ministry would receive the assistance shipment to distribute to individuals impacted by the situation in Sudan. Al-Zaid expressed appreciation for both the Egyptian Red Crescent Society’s efforts to assist the Sudanese people and the Kuwaiti embassy’s efforts to facilitate the transfer and make arrangements with the Egyptian side for its shipping.
