The Kuwaiti cabinet has announced public holidays on Sunday, December 31, and Monday, January 1, to celebrate the New Year. This decision, made during the cabinet’s weekly meeting, provides a four-day weekend for employees in the country, given that weekends in Kuwait fall on Fridays and Saturdays. The announcement, based on a notice from the Civil Service Commission, also mentioned that government bodies with a “special work nature” will determine their holidays based on their internal management and consideration of public interest.
