Leading air-taxi maker Joby Aviation ( JOBY.N ) has officially applied for a certificate to operate commercial aviation services in the United Arab Emirates. The application marks Joby’s strategic move into the UAE’s dynamic aviation market, promising a new era of urban mobility with its cutting-edge air-taxi technology.
The certification process involves several important steps. Joby Aviation shall develop detailed operating manuals for its air taxi services, outlining operational procedures, safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
In addition, the company will undergo a thorough inspection of its UAE facilities to ensure compliance with UAE aviation standards. These inspections will evaluate the facility’s maintenance practices, safety measures, and overall operational performance.
