In Muscat, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued two Royal decrees. Royal decree No (88/2023) ratifies the agreement establishing the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector, originally signed in Jeddah on November 3, 1999.
Article (1) of this decree confirms the ratification of the aforementioned agreement, aligning it with the version specified in the decree.
Article (2) emphasizes that the concerned departments must deposit the ratified document according to its provisions.
Finally, Article (3) states that this decree will be officially published in the Official Gazette and enforced from the date of its issuance.
Furthermore, Royal decree No (89/2023) endorses the agreement between the government of the Sultanate of Oman and the government of the Russian Federation concerning the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion related to taxes on income.
This agreement, along with its attached protocol, was signed in Muscat on June 8, 2023. Article (1) of this decree validates the aforementioned agreement and its protocol in line with the versions stipulated in the decree. Article (2) specifies the decree’s publication in the Official Gazette, marking its enforcement from the date of issuance.
