Dubai Awards Golden Visas to Outstanding Teachers on World Teachers’ Day
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, announced on Saturday that golden visas will be awarded to teachers who have made outstanding contributions to the private education sector in Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan took to social media platform X to make the announcement on World Teachers’ Day, where he also expressed the city’s gratitude to teachers for their efforts in nurturing young minds.
In a social media post, the Crown Prince of Dubai said: “On World Teachers’ Day, we have issued instructions to award golden visas to teachers who have made outstanding contributions to the private education sector in Dubai. We highly appreciate your efforts in nurturing young minds. Instilling values that will build tomorrow’s leaders, the visionary E33 Education Strategy in shaping the future of Dubai.” You are also key partners in achieving goals.
Golden visas are granted to outstanding teachers working in early childhood centers, private schools, and international institutions of higher education. This recognition is based on their academic excellence, contributions to improving the quality of education, positive feedback from the education community, and their efforts to help students achieve better academic results and recognized degree qualifications. With this new initiative, Dubai aims to attract talented teachers to the emirate and encourage them to contribute to a brighter future for education in the city. This aligns with Dubai’s education strategy for the next decade, focusing on bringing in exceptional educators who are passionate about promoting lifelong learning.
A well-deserved compliment
As the UAE celebrates World Teachers’ Day on Saturday, October 5, President Sheikh Mohammed earlier praised the work of the country’s teachers and thanked them for their “dedicated service to the nation”.
In a post on X, Sheikh Mohammed said that teachers have played a very important role in molding generations and inspiring young minds.
Sheikh Mohammed had earlier announced that February 28 will be observed as Education Day.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, also thanked the teachers and said “the nation appreciates you”.
