Dubai Announces Public parking is free during Eid holidays

Dubai Announces Free Public Parking and Extended Transport Hours for Eid

Dubai: Public parking in the emirate has been made free and public transport operating hours have been extended in line with the Eid holiday.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that all public parking areas, except for multi-storey car parks, will be free from Shawwal 1 to 3. Parking will be charged from Shawwal 4. Dubai Metro operating hours have also been adjusted from Saturday to Wednesday.

The Metro’s red and green lines will operate from 5am to 1am on Saturday and Monday and from 8am to 1am on Sunday. The tram will operate from 6am to 1am on Saturday and Monday, and from 9am to 1am on Sunday.
The Authority’s vehicle inspection centres and customer satisfaction centres will be closed from 1st to 3rd Shawwal. Meanwhile, the Smart Customer Satisfaction Centres in Umm Hamool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf and RTA Headquarters will operate 24 hours a day as usual.

Public bus services have also been rescheduled in view of Eid. Route E-100 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Route E-102 from Ibn Battuta Station will not operate until 3rd Shawwal. Passengers heading to Abu Dhabi can travel on Route E-101 from Ibn Battuta Station.
